Hilton Haulage are actively searching for Fixed Term Seasonal Class 4 drivers to undertake driving duties within our agricultural division. Both day shift and night shift roles are available, with the season kicking off from mid-November and lasting through to approximately February 2018.
This opportunity could suit semi-retired drivers looking to earn some extra cash OR people who want to continue their successful driving career. Individuals who impress and show great commitment to the job may be considered for permanent positions within the company (at both Class 4 & 5 levels).
While the operation is co-ordinated from our Rolleston branch, drivers will be based out of our local Watties site on Shands Road, Hornby. Teamed up with a shift partner, you will be driving to local farms to collect peas directly from the paddock/pea harvester and delivering to the Watties factory for processing. Farms are typically located in the south of Christchurch through to Rakaia with drivers transporting around 3 loads per day/shift.
To be successful in this role, you need to have some flexibility with working hours. A roster will be provided at the start of the season which will dictate your hours (6 days on 2 days off OR 6 nights on 2 off). Please note the Watties factory runs 365 days per year so working through the Christmas period is to be expected.
A Class 4 full licence is essential and recent driving experience preferred. Applications are also welcome from individuals that hold a Class 5 licence. Hilton Haulage can offer you competitive terms and conditions and the opportunity to operate our Fuso trucks with an 18-speed road ranger gear box.
This is a great opportunity to work with a professional transport company. To apply please complete the online application form and upload a current CV.
